I tried 2 different versions of these foot patches, BioHeel and Chi.

In my opinion the BioHeel are stronger and the most effective in drawing out toxins.

The Chi patches are for people with shellfish/other allergies so if you don't have these I recommend going with the BioHeel patches.

The patches are adhered to the bottom of the feet overnight to draw out toxins from the body. I was shocked at the state of my foot patches on the first morning!!

Here is a before and after shot to give you an idea.

Yuck!!!!

It's pretty gross, I know - but better out than in!

This Reflexology Chart shows where you can place the patches to address various ailments or concerns.

I prefer to get the patches from BioNatural Australia - reliable and their delivery is speedy.
I considered buying them on Ebay but the cost of postage from some sellers makes it less economical. And I prefer to buy this sort of thing from a real shop.

RRP for patches:

Pack of 10 $21.85 AUD
Pack of 20 $39.60 AUD
Pack of 30 $59.00 AUD
Pack of 90 $159.30 AUD
Pack of 300 $472.00 AUD

Personally I think you would have to be Keith Richards to need the 300 pack but that's just me.

If you haven't used them before you might want to go for the pack of 20 or 30 - that's what I did!

I found myself smoking a cigarette while wearing them and wondered if it was doing any good!?!!?

Anyway enough about me. Here are some links for more info:

I have fallen victim to the dreaded Ebay jinx. The last few purchases I have made have been a complete disaster.

Here is the rundown:

Exhibit J - Robotic LED Book Light

Verdict - D.O.A. !!! (2 Items sent. 2 Items died)

Exhibit K - Stainless Steel Compass

First item sent was not very useful.
The compass didn't work (North kept changing direction!)
To the seller's credit, he did send me a new one and that one worked.

Verdict - Annoying, but OK

Exhibit L - Nokia 2600

Technically this one wasn't a total disaster but it was a complete pain the the bum.

The phone description said "Unlocked"
"Unlocked" of course meaning locked to the Telstra network when I hate Telstra and would rather eat sawdust than give them a cent.

So I had to spend a hair-pulling 3 hours trying to activate a locked phone with an Optus SIM kit.

Then I had to go to a Telstra shop (arrrgh!!) and PAY them to unlock it. $30!!!

Oy veh.

Verdict - Grrrrr!!!

Exhibit M - Playstation 2 Memory Card

Oh, this one was a doozy. The card didn't arrive. For weeks. And weeks.
And then the seller was "No longer a registered user on Ebay"

Was I nervous? You bet!

I managed to track down his phone number and he ended up finally sending it to me.

Then I used it for Tiger Woods 2004 (I have been happily playing Tiger Woods 2003 for the last year or so) and I realised that Tiger Woods 2004 is a bunch of crap.

Verdict - Hahahahahahah!!!!!! (Losing it at this point)

Exhibit L - Pink Nokia 2600 Cover

I love it. It's wonderful. It's just MISSING IN ACTION!!!!!!

Verdict - (insert maniacal laughter here)

Perhaps my blog has displeased the Ebay gods.

Today is the day I pay tribute to the best Yoga book I have ever bought.

I grew up in a hippie commune surrounded by many Yoga books with scratchy illustrations and no colour pictures. It was very frustrating trying to decipher the diagram of the pose when you couldn't even see the hands or feet properly!

I think the illustrators were being "arty"..

I discovered this book - The Complete Book of Yoga by Vimla Lalvani at the T.S. Bookshop in Russell St (near the corner of Bourke St) in Melbourne.

It cost me $34.95

This book has kept me occupied for the last 3 or 4 years and I have never grown tired of it.

The best thing about it is the pictures. Colourful, inspiring and easy to follow. The book is well written and suits beginners to advanced. Each time I think I have mastered a pose I discover a way to improve it.

The book includes a warm up section, beginners, intermediate and advanced, yoga for better sex, yoga to relieve stress and various sequences of exercises that you can do each day.

My favourite section is beginners - advanced. I usually pick out a number of these to do each day and find that I feel incredible after just a few poses.

Don't miss out on this one!!!

$450 for a $900+ diamond brilliant cut ring.

It's ending in 3 hours 45 min so click on the title link above.

I finally bought a pair of Maseur sandals! They cost me $34.99 from a chemist.

They let me try them on as the sizes confuse me completely.

When you put them on you get a tingly feeling, then you feel like you've had 2 or 3 coffees. (For those who don't like coffee, you feel more awake).

I got stressed at work:

...so I slipped these sandals on under the desk.

Minutes later I looked like this:

The benefits are listed as -
increased blood circulation
promotes good posture
relieves tired feet and aching legs
+ they are fully washable

I definitely noticed a warmth spreading through my legs after wearing them for a short time.

I have done a chart for the sizes so you can work them out
(note: These sizes are for Australia!)

For example, I am a size 8.5 (AUST) in shoes,

BUT I am a size 7 in Maseur sandals.

Which would make me closer to a size 9. Confused yet?

If you buy them online, they may be a bit cheaper but it would be a little more difficult to get the correct size for you. And a cheap pair of sandals in the wrong size isn't worth much!!  So make sure you check your sizes with the seller:  Buy Maseur Sandals

An alternative is to buy them at your local chemist. You can ask to try them on and they usually have the chart measurements so you can look up your size.

I'm off to put them on again.
