I came in today, checked my blog and suddenly it read "Page Rank 4". And I thought to myself..." No $h!t" It was quite a shock actually.
Then I thought, what does that make me?
A psychic nerd?

ReplyDeleteI reached a Google Page rank of 4 yesterday. The elation did not last though as I have been demoted to 3 again today.
Was it some Google no-no I did or was my elevation just a mistake quickly corrected.
I had reckoned the increase was due to me adding AdSense to the blog the day before - a bit of quid pro quo on the part of the big G. The fact I moved AdSense yesterday from the left sidebar to the top of the page - kind of blending in with the blogger bar - may have have upset the Google Spider who had to crawl around looking for it.
Then again, it could be because I mistakingly hit the flag icon on the Blogger bar, reporting my own site as having objectionable content. I would have thought objectionable content would merit a larger down-rating than 1 though.
Those are the breaks - I am going to add AdSense back to the sidebar again, leave it on the top too and maybe put it in the footer and the odd post or two. Joking but it would be an interesting experiment.
